01 · The idea, in one page

An hour, held for you.

Not a menu, not a treatment plan, not a transformation. A room, a candle, an hour with warm hands and quiet attention.

The promise

One client at a time. The phone is off. The candle is lit. The hands are warm. The skin is heard. Nothing rushed, nothing missed. You are the only person in the room.

The wink

It is, of course, a fuss. We never pretend it isn't. We just believe a small fuss (warm towels, eyebrows read like a face, the slow tap of serum into skin) is one of the more useful things you can do for an afternoon.

“You are the only person in the room.” The promise
02 · The mark

the fuss.

Lowercase Cormorant Garamond, weight 500. The period is not a full stop, it is a beat. Set in blush, it is the brand’s soft recurring note. A wink at the end of a considered sentence.

All marks live as SVG in the brand repo: wordmark.svg, monogram.svg, favicon.svg. Paths are outlined from Cormorant Garamond Medium so the mark holds without the font installed. Send these for print, embroidery, signage.

The mark, held right

  • Always lowercase. the fuss., not The Fuss or THE FUSS.
  • Always with the period. It is the mark’s soft note.
  • Period in blush, always. Never gold, never forest.
  • Give the mark at least the height of one lowercase f on every side.
  • Minimum on screen: 96px wide. In print: 24mm. Below that, use the monogram.

Never

  • Never bold. The weight is 500. That is the weight.
  • Never all-caps. THE FUSS. is not the mark.
  • Never without the period. It is not a stop, it is a note.
  • Never on pure white. Parchment, or a photograph warm enough to read as parchment.
  • Never rotated, italicised, condensed, expanded, or set on a curve.
03 · Colour

Five colours, one room.

Parchment is the room. Forest is the type. Honey is the punctuation. Ink only when something must be read. Blush is hers, a soft recurring note. A hairline. A folded card. A ribbon. Never loud. Always there.

The punctuation
Small caps, a kicker, a keyline. Warm brass, not gold. Never the sentence.

Hers, a hairline
A folded card. A ribbon on a parcel. The period at the end of the mark. Never a fill.

04 · Typography

Cormorant Garamond, and Inter for utility.

Cormorant does the work: 500 for display, 400 for body, italic for the aside. Inter carries the utility: small caps, form labels, city lines, times of day. No third face.

Confidently quiet.

Wry. Warm. Never selling. Sentences fall short of where marketing would push them, and hold there. Nothing bohemian. Nothing transformational. A room. An hour. Warm hands.

The Fuss isn’t

The Fuss is

  • One-on-one. Slow. Warm.
  • An hour, not a transaction.
  • Funny when you least expect it.
  • Cared-for in the details: a folded card, a re-used ribbon, a name on the door.
  • Quietly confident. Doesn’t need to shout.

The Fuss isn’t

  • A clinic. A medspa. A factory.
  • “Bohemian,” crystals, manifesting.
  • “Sanctuary,” “oasis,” “haven.”
  • A treatment list with prices in 8pt grey.
  • A glow-up, a transformation, a before-and-after.
Decompress·Explore·Elevate.
These three words don’t go on the card. They go on the wall above the bed, on the welcome email, in the way you describe what you do to a client mid-treatment. They’re the how, not the what.
07 · The room

Built-in cabinetry. Preserved moss. Forest, parchment, brass, blush.

Early renders, four angles. A low counter on the left. Tall apothecary cabinets on the right. Sink and upper cabinet on the right wall. A preserved-moss panel left of the spa door. The palette is the room made in wood and plaster.

How the brand wears in 3D.

None of these are locked. They are here to feel how the parchment holds when it becomes a robe, a candle, a tote, a mug. To make sure the room extends past the door.

09 · Motion

Breath, not swagger.

The mark breathes on a 6.8 second cadence, from opacity 100 to 94, tracking a hair looser at the peak. The eye reads it as being alive, not moving. Anything faster is a pulse; the room does not pulse.

Interactive elements bloom a blush hairline on hover. 400ms, ease-out. Nothing lifts, nothing scales, nothing shifts. The line arrives.

Blush hairline · on hover

Reduced motion is respected. When a visitor asks for stillness, the mark stops breathing, the hairline appears instantly. The room does not argue.
